A FRAMEWORK IS IDENTIFIED TO EXAMINE DIFFERENT NON-UNIFORM PRICE SCHEMES IMPLEMENTED BY TRANSPORT OPERATORS SUCH AS TRAVELCARD PLUS ORDINARY TICKET, RAILCARD PLUS FULL FARE, OR MULTIPLE-RIDE TICKET PLUS CASH FARE. OPTIMAL PRICING RULES FOR THESE SCHEMES ARE DERIVED EMPHASISING THE INFORMATIONAL REQUIREMENTS ABOUT THE DISTRIBUTION OF CONSUMERS, IN TERMS OF THEIR TRIP BEHAVIOUR, NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THEM. THE TRAVELCARD PLUS ORDINARY TICKET STRATEGY IS FURTHER ANALYSED BY ALLOWING FIRST, A CONSUMPTION EXTERNALITY, AND SECOND, THE PROVISION OF TWO ALTERNATIVE MODES.
