Samenvatting
The economic arrears of the Northern part of the Netherlands is mainly explained by the peripheral location with respect to the great economic centres in the Western part of Holland. The main purpose of this literature review is to answer the question which possibilities are signalised in the literature and can be applied in the Northern part to determine the affect of improvements in the transport infrastructure on the regional social economic developments
