Samenvatting
The character of a road or street and its environment has an important influence on the speed of road traffic. The author assembled a diagram with curves describing the stresses caused to the driver by just moving, and by psychological and physical factors. Based on this philosophy he indicates ways and means for the designers and road administrations to influence traffic speeds in a "natural" way.
