Samenvatting
In co-operation with the Netherlands Railways the Royal Dutch Touring Club ANWB developed a plan to improve Park-and Ride in the Netherlands. It is an essential part of the ANWB contribution to the public participation related to the Transportation Structure Plan, which was presented by the Dutch government earlier this year. Three types of trips have been studied: short distance trips of commuters to the major urban areas in the western part of the country, the so-called rim town; furthermore the long distance trips both ways between the rim-town and the rest of the country.
