Samenvatting
An observation-research to the work of the police is made. The main purpose of the study was to get an insight in the magnitude and the nature of surveillance by the police. The task of the policeman is first the maintenance of law and order, more than the fight against offences. The lack of psychological education is the main cause that the policeman does not want to interfere in human conflicts. There is also a difference in tasks in urban an rural areas.
