Samenvatting
In the evaluation project "Speed reducing measures at 80-kilometre/hour roads" a pilot study was executed on a circuit near Stadskanaal in Groningen, The Netherlands. The effects of the proposed measures were assessed for driving behaviour, physiological parameters and subjective experience. It appeared that subjects (N= 10) were driving more than 4 km/h slower on the experimental road section than on a control section. This effect seems to be caused by the selective introduction of discomfort due to adaptations of the road surface. It was concluded that the evaluation project should be continued, in order to assess the effect in the long run and on different roads.
