Samenvatting

In contrast to the well-known association between bloodalcohol level and traffic accidents, the precise medicating mechanism responsible for this association has not been clearly identified. Among the various possible mechanisms the one explored here is that alcohol consumption makes people less averse to risk. Unlike earlier studies of subjects' ability to react as fast as possible, this experiment examines the effect of alcohol ingestion on their skill in responding at the proper moment.
