Samenvatting
The motion of a vehicle is studied analytically, thereby considering dry friction in the steering system and disregarding the effect of roll. The result shows the existence of stable as well as unstable limit cycles in the steady motion of the vehicle. Furthermore, the effects of dry friction, viscous damping, and cruising speed upon the amplitude and frequency of the stable limit cycle are investigated simultaneously.
