Samenvatting

Low speed tunnel tests have been made to investigate the effects of low flow rate gas ejection, orifice geometry and ground proximity on the pressures acting over the base of an axis symmetric body. It has been shown that the effect of ground proximity is generally to increase the base drag whilst gas ejection has been shown to decrease the base drag, provided the flow rate and gas velocity are small.
