Samenvatting

This paper investigates the effects of Canada's facilitating bilateral air agreements with the UK, The Netherlands and Germany, on the volume of visitors from those countries to Canada. It also studies the effects of the US liberal bilateral air agreements on diverting Canadian foreign visitors away from direct routes to routes that pass through the US. These objectives are accomplished by estimating visitor volume models and route share models. (Author/publisher).
