Samenvatting

Two driver education programs, one consisting solely of class room education, and one consisting of classroom-instruction plus practical training behind the wheel and on a simulator were compared. The variables considered were sex, age, mileage father's occupational category. Driving records subsequent to the period of instruction were almost identical. It is concluded that the addition of practical training does not result in a different accident rate.
