Samenvatting

In this experiment eight different rear light configurations were successively mounted on the front of a vehicle which approached a stationary car in which the observers sat. A shutter on the car windscreen controlled the time the observers could see the approadring tail lights, and during this time they were required to estimate the distance and the approach speed of the lights.
