Samenvatting
One way traffic in urban areas is many times introduced as a method for traffic planning, improvement of traffic flow and simplification of traffic. However uncertainty consisted on the effect of one-way traffic on traffic safety. In this study is shown that the introduction of one-way traffic has hardly no influence on the occurrence of accidents, but no yet answers are given on the questions which can give an explanation for the lacking of this influence.
