Samenvatting

A review is made of some of the research that has been completed in the past two decades concerned with splash and spray from motor vehicles, mainly large goods vehicles. An evaluation of spray suppression devices in a highway study is described. The results show that the trucks with suppression devices produced less apparent spray and provided better visibility than unequipped trucks.
