Samenvatting
A computerized benefit-cost model is presented for use in the selection of accident-reduction countermeasures to be applied to investigated sites. The model has capability to evaluate both surface modification countermeasures, which increase frictional supply, and geometric and traffic control countermeasures, which reduce frictional demand. The model considers the effectiveness of each countermeasure under both wet and dry pavement conditions.
