Samenvatting

A car pool is a means of transport whereby a number of commuters travel in a single vehicle, a taxi, instead of each commuter using his own vehicle. The effect of car pools on vehicle distance travelled in the entire city is calculated for several different models. These models take into account the distribution of people's homes and workplaces, the routeing system in the city, and the rules used to decide who will share the taxi.
