Effectiveness of old, new and future motor-car lighting.

Results are presented of experiments to establish visibility distances that can be considered as representative of those found on the road, to compare visibility distances obtained with conventional and new halogen headlamp, and to develop and implement a polarized passing light system with a view to improving the effectiveness of vehicle lighting.
