Samenvatting

Speeds of cars were measured at three locations in the two days before and after police amphometer traps. Under normal conditions 70% and 16% of the motorists exceed the speed limit of respectively 35 and 45 m.p.h. In the two days following the amphometer traps in which the motorist exceeding 45 m.p.h. were apprehended and charged these percentages were reduced to about 50% and 8% respectively.
