Two years after the introduction of random breath test mgin Victoria, a survey was undertaken of a random sample of344 persons of driving age. The aim of the study was toassess the effects of the measure on drinking habits, andto explore drivers' perception of random breath test mg.The results veere discussed in terras of their implicationsfor continued use of random breath testing as a counter-measure against drink-driving. In particular, the value ofthe measure as a deterrent was discuseed, and the effectsof the measure veere considered in tost-effectiveness terras.
