Samenvatting
Bus safety was given high priority in a joint road research programme and in order to improve bus safety, a pilot retraining course for bus drivers was developed and evaluated. The development of the course and the results of the studies of the drivers' behaviour, knowledge and accidents are given. Also other factors (such as depot and driver age and experience) which has a bearing on driver performance indicators are reported.
