Samenvatting

The main objective of this study was to determine if traffic safety materials were effective in reducing the subsequent accident and conviction record of the general driving population. A second objective was to determine the effectiveness of different topics covered by the materials. A third objective was to determine if materials tailored for specific age-sex groups were more effective than non-tailored materials. The results indicated that the materials were not effective in reducing subsequent six month accident and conviction frequencies.
