Samenvatting
Applications of telematics in traffic and transport in the sense of road traffic information can attribute in one way or the other to one or more aims of traffic and transport such as the decrease of queuing, accident prevention, adverse environment effects, the decrease of the use of energy and the guarantee of accessibility. This paper discusses how teleworking, route planning and route guidance for car drivers, monitoring systems of the road network, vehicle navigation, traffic engineering, dynamic traffic and transport management, and logistic information systems can attribute to these aims.
