The drinking driver has long been recognised as one of the most serious traffic safety problems. The drugged driver, however, is not well known or described. In 1985 a study was undertaken to examine the blood content of arrested drunk drivers. The blood content of arrested drunk drivers. The blood sample was taken and analysed for alcohol, cannabinoids, cocaine, barbiturates, amphetamines and valium. This study has a. o. the purpose to examine the effects of two degrees of marihuana intoxication on real driver performance.
