Samenvatting

The aim of the study was a comparison of four antidepressants, (amitriptyline, mianserin, trazodone and bupropion), taken with and -without alcohol, against placebo using a battery of psychomotor tests and measures of brake reaction time while driving an automobile. Results show that the general widespread sedation and impairment of psychomotor and cognitive functions produced by the first three is not to be found following the latter, either with or without alcohol.
