Samenvatting

Surveys of bus passengers using two bus routes in oxford and Manchester were carried out before and after the services were reduced, and again a year later. The report summarises the results of a detailed analysis of the travel patterns of bus users on the routes, and their assessments of the effects of the changes. The consequences of the bus service reductions for different types of journey and various groups of passengers are examined. Substantial changes in travel were reported, and while these often represented considerable inconvenience to the passengers concerned, there were few examples of real hardship. (Author/publisher)
