The effects of three tranquillizers on several aspects of driving performance, including lane tracking, have been investigated in a study with two groups of subjects. Lorazepam appeared to have the most negative effect of all drugs tested, even in a low dose. Virtually no differences between patients and healthy volunteers were found with regard to driving performance effects, which is contrary to general expectation.
