The effects of loadings and tire characteristics on the steering behaviour of an automobile.

Results of a research program in which the steady-state steering behaviour of an automobile was varied by changing certain characteristics related to the tires and loadings of the vehicle. It is concluded that consistency of steering behaviour can be drastically degraded by unfavorable loadings and tire combinations.
