Samenvatting

In this study, clinically normal individuals drove in an optical driving simulator for un-interrupted periods of two hours. These subjects were required to maintain a specified speed and distance relationship to preceding car as well as to respond to a given signal. During the alcohol session, the subjects not only exhibited slower reaction times, but they also failed to respond at all to a large number of the given signals.
