Effects of steering and suspension component degradation on automobile stability and control. Part II: Technical report, Volume I: Literature review

This paper is concerned with a literature review of approximately 150 articles. They cover vehicle performance, degradation of in-service components of steering and suspension system, current methods of inspection and diagnosis, life expectancy and failure data, and safety implications of degraded vehicle systems. Particular attention is given to steering and suspension.
