Samenvatting
This paper presents interpretation of data collected on child restraint usage (from roadside and shopping centre surveys) and reduction of injury severity (from accident data). The proportion of unrestrained children in the front seat of passenger cars fall from 15% in 1975 to about 5% in 1977, due to Victorian child restraint legislation. A considerable reduction of front seat child casualties has occurred in this period. The number of the covering abstract of the conference is IRRD no 234342.
