Prognoses are made for the year 2015 to indicate the demand for transport over 20 years and the distress on the environment. The distress on the environment is expressed in terms of energy use, carbon dioxide emissions, the use of the environment, dispersions, other emissions and noise hindrance. Recommendations are presented for studies into new generations of two-wheelers, lightweight urban public transport, the supercar (in relationship with clean fuel), urban freight transport, environmental friendly urban transport, biogas, hydrogen technology, regulation of car use, infrastructure, coupled cars, mobility, air pollution, new propulsion technologies, traffic tunnels in urban areas, logistics, driver information, underground distribution systems, car pooling, etc.
