Samenvatting
Studies on the influence of dirt deposited on headlamp lenses on the visibility of motor vehicle drivers are described. Swedish investigations regarding amount and type of dirt under different road and traffic conditions are used as a basis. The dirt deposited on the headlamps results in both, dazzling oncoming traffic and reducing the illumination of the road in front of the vehicle.
