Samenvatting
In order to study the relationships between the speed behaviour of drivers and certain characteristics of the traffic area on the one hand and driver's characteristics on the other, interviews were carried out. It was found that most danger signs which are placed in additional to speed limits lead to a further reduction of speed. Drivers reduced their speed the more, the higher the statutory maximum permissible speed was and the more plausible they found these restrictions.
