Samenvatting
The background of Ford's electric vehicle research work is presented along with a discussion of the motivation for continued electric vehicle experimentation. The types of power train systems and components under investigation are discussed and selected Ford test vehicle projects are described. Some of the challenges and significant technological problems facing the successful development of electric vehicles are highlighted.
