Electrophysiological measures for tasks of low energy expenditure. Paper presented at the Symposium held in Amsterdam, September 1969, sponsored by the International Ergonomics Association.

The author states that is obviously naive to try to reduce the extra ordinary complexity of relations between man and machine to a pure physiological phenomenology. All the psychological exploratory techniques available are also necessary. Close collaboration in the future between psychologists and neurophysiologists in the study of man-machine systems is needed.
