Samenvatting
The prime motive for the development of electrically driven road vehicles may have changed during the last decade from environmental aspects to independence of crude oil supplies, this development did not lose its urgency. Until new kinds of battery shall offer 10 to 30 times bigger energy and power densities, electric passenger cars shall be restricted to speeds of the order of 50 to 60 mph and to short distances.
