This short article describes the modifications made to underground railway stations in Hamburg in order to make them more accessible to disabled people. These include: the use of "orientation lines" to guide the visually impaired, the fitting of railings, the provision of more visible steps, raising platforms, improving passenger information systems, and increasing the dimensions of lifts.
