Samenvatting

This is the first known study of this type to investigate learning preferences of repeat traffic offenders. Other unique components of the Traffic Attitude Program were evaluated and subjected to statistical analysis. Although no particular cognitive style taxonomy could be developed based on various traffic offender groups (TAP 23, TAP 45, and TAP 6+), some predominant cognitive style elements for the whole TAP population were found and cognitive style elements specific to each TAP group were determined. Suggested instructional techniques appropriate for these cognitive style learning preferences were described.
