Samenvatting
This paper highlights some of the issues associated with the classification and enforcement of vehicles with particular reference to automatic toll collection. One solution to this problem based upon the work of the ADEPT project is described. Here cameras are used not just for the enforcement of vehicles through the reading of licence plate data but also by using video cameras to automatically classify vehicles in a multi-lane environment.
