Summary of a study carried out by TRRL on seven types of junctions. All sorts of conflicts were investigated and from that the authors conclude that on dual carriageways with moderate traffic roundabouts are safer than traffic lights. Conventional roundabouts - appear to be much safer than mini-roundabouts.
