Samenvatting

The manufacture of crushed products sourced from recycling construction and demolition waste result in significant proportions of fine material which is currently destined for landfill. This paper describes the processes undertaken in development of an engineering fill quality product and associated state government policy for re-use of fill materials in transport-related construction and maintenance activities across South Australia. That is a policy which provides a methodology for sampling imported fill materials and recycled materials and classification for re-use or disposal.
