Samenvatting
In this paper a research program is outlined and preliminary results are discussed concerning the control of movement in man. Starting from the assumption that fast movements are not controlled by way of position feedback, it is argued that two aspects are of primary importance here: the variable organisation of the central nervous system and the action programs. The organisation is studied with help of quantitative investigation of reflexes under different conditions. The action programs of arm movements are studied. Finally tracking movements of hand and jaw are investigated.
