Cars crossing the center strip on speedways show the highest rate of accidental deaths. Hence great importance has to be attached to the correct construction of central strip guides. This is the reprint of an abstract from a test program to investigate the problem of appropriate steel guides. All these tests were so made that the practical vollision impact angles were in accordance. Calculation of the practical impact angle is explains, as well.
