Samenvatting

A number of controlled studies of highway crashes and citations are treated in a consistent manner, and relative probabilities of involvement derived as function of bac's and other important predictor variables. Relative "Effectiveness" estimates for hypothetical bac limits are derived from the assumption of "perfect enforcement". Estimated "Effectiveness" is compared on the basis of differences in driver characteristics and in the chosen criterion. Discussions are added.
