The parking guidance system is just one example of a sensible strategy aimed at improving the urban parking situation which has been put together in general from an assortment of various measures. In recent times, parking guidance systems have been increasingly introduced to reduce the volume of traffic looking for parking spaces and to ensure the optimal use of existing parking capacity. This paper discusses the general method of functioning of such a system as well as the preconditions, limits of use and components required.
