This paper identifies and assesses the effectiveness of existing air traveller information and communication systems in relation to specific market segments of travellers with physical, visual, hearing and cognitive disabilities; to identify current deficiencies and opportunities for improvements. To meet the requirements, information from transportation operators and authorities was solicited, selected interviews were conducted, simulated travel scenarios with individuals with disabilities were undertaken, and in-depth focus group sessions with representatives of the four market groups were organized. Based on the system deficiencies and issues raised, conclusions and recommendations are presented.
