To assess the impact of an advanced driver assistance system consisting of warnings for frequent accident spots, curves and intersection approach on speed and to evaluate its acceptability, twenty participants were invited to drive a fifteen kilometres loop three times. The warnings were only presented on the third drive to half of the participants, whilst they were presented on the second and third drive to the other half of the participants. The preliminary results indicate that the warnings had no systematic effects on speed and that the observed variation in speed was rather induced by the characteristics of the road. However, the subjective responses of the participants to the after drive questionnaire were positive towards the system. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
