Paper 1. The report contains the terms of reference of the complete program, a compilation of the test objects, the criteria for the test conditions and the evaluation of the tests, the design and construction of the crash facilities as veil as details on the technical execution of the tests. Paper 2. The drivers on a highway with advance warning certainly drive more to the left. It is to be examined in further studies whether this tendency is conditioned by the special test situation where no opposing traffic was simulated. The advance warning itself positively influences the speed behaviour and the headway behaviour, -independent of whether the driver ahead behaves like a driver on a highway section with or without advance warning. However, it appears appropriate to examine the validity of the results gained with the simulator.
