Escape worthiness of vehicles for occupancy survivals and crashes. First part : research program.

This is a final report of the results of a multi-disciplinary study of the factors involved in escape of occupants from crashed vehicle environments on land, submerged in water, or involved in fire. Analytical techniques are provided for predicting escape times from cars and buses, vehicle collision-submergence water-entry conditions and sinking times, ignition times and burning rates of interior materials, and other data.
