The overall objective of this study was to develop a better method for estimating the magnitude and frequency of runoff from small rural watersheds (approximately 20 square miles or less). Three new equations for estimating peak flows for un-gauged small watersheds are presented, and these equations are compared with methods presently used by state highway departments in the U.S.A..
